Keywords to Blogging Cash

Written by: Jacob Malewitz, filed within: Blogging

Building a blog is like building up blogging cash, as it will come in spikes unless you deal with it like a business, a profitable online career which pays dividends. Many bloggers are out there thinking blogging cash will come there way. If you want to make serious money online, it’s time to remember the keyword to blogging cash. More than back links, more than advertising, and more than sending out emails to all your friends and family, building a rich keyword blog is the crucial step for blogging cash. It’s one of the best ways to make money online.

Why? Because you are free to write what you want. This guide builds a keyword rich blog that will make you money online from day one to day 100.

Understand the Online Biz, the Online Career:

It’s time to understand what an online career is. Of course, you will need some keywords, but you need something like a business plan from the beginning to make money online. I can say it a billion times-and you may want to just start the blog with no plan-but you really should take it seriously. You will be rewarded if you do. An online career isn’t necessarily easier, but often it’s far more fun. An online career may pay you less, but you often work less hours. And a Blogging career is planned best with a combination of keywords and keyword phrases.

What are Keyword Phrases?

Phrases are “Where can I find shoes cheap?” Not just “shoes.” A phrase is searched far more than a single keyword in most cases, unless you are talking about a proper name like “Paris” or “Britney Spears.” Remember the blogging keyword phrase isn’t alone; you need the regular keyword too. The best method is to combine them, and be creative with them.

Pick Keywords and Phrases:

Now it’s time to pick the keywords. Actually, you can only pick some at this point. There are plenty of resources for finding the right keywords, namely using search engines to see what seems to be getting the most hits. However, what Britney Spears did yesterday may not be as popular as what “Blank” did today. The best site to check out is The New York Times Most Searched Phrases, where you can find a selection of all kinds of keywords and keyword phrases.

Remember Blog Readers:

I am an expert on building a blog from the ground up. I’m also an expert on forgetting my readers. For one, you can lose them by going too far into your own life. Yet blogging success, not to mention blogging cash, can come from a nice touch of both first person and third person. A blog is a personal space, a profitable one, but still a personal space. Remember your blog readers. This means you can’t fill up your articles with dozens of keyword phrases hoping to hit the jackpot. If you remember your readers, you can make an online career more than just successful and profitable-it can be rewarding.

Forgetting Blogging Cash:

Racing to the finish line is, in fact, one clear way of making a blogging income. For one, a writer who is on day one of his blog needs to somehow profit from it. The profit may come in many different ways. You could make money online with Adsense, a way of placing ads relevant to your blog … but this rarely works in the beginning. You could sell ads on your blog for some added blogging cash … but that is a shot in the dark. The best method is to work hard on the blog on this day, promoting it and finding more and more readers. The blogging pay will come; I promise that. You don’t have to be an immensely talented writer-just determined to make an online a career a reality.

Speed of the Keyword:

Day one, dear blogger, is about enjoying yourself. The blogging cash will come in, if somewhat small at first. There are creative ways to make money online, yes, but the best method to earn an income off your blog is to write well and fast. The speed of your keywords, you could say, is what makes the difference between you and the other bloggers. This is simple: learn to write fast and well. There will be benefits, like catching more readers. This also means thinking up as many alternate keywords as possible.

Say you have a blog on films. Alternate keywords are obvious here. You have the film name, which is a decent keyword in most cases. The alternate keywords would be the likes of the super stars in the film, or the masters directing it. You can even quote politics in your blog posts, or relate a story to something happening in the world. You can do anything; just do it fast.

Happy Medium:

You will develop your own methods for earning blogging cash, some not mentioned here. The happy medium for you will develop if you keep writing. A creative writer can learn plenty from a blog’s success or failure. A happy medium of writing speed will be found, and maybe a new online career will be created. I can attest that, if you use keywords well, you will earn blogging cash.

I was hoping that you would mention an alternative way of earning cash from your blog apart from adsense and selling ad space. Those are the only two ways of making cash from your blog that am aware of. But as always that was another good article.

Keywords and Keyword Phrases. That certainly makes sense. I’m really impressed with how you’ve really disected blogging down to a science. The bit about picking the right keywords and phrases by using search engines to see what gets the most hits is brilliant.

There definitely has to be a “happy medium” between writing for your blog readers and focusing on good keyword phrases. I have seen many blog posts that are stilted and unreadable because the writer has tried to cram the keywords in there and forgotten that real people are trying to read it. Actually, this can be said for all websites. While attracting traffic through keywords is important, the reason you want the traffic is to get real people to read your work and take the action you want them to.

It’s all about targeting niche keywords. If you go for things like film names, bands and supermodels etc, then the big sites are just going to muscle you out and you won’t stand a chance. Target a much less known subject however and the hits will often come flooding in. It’s all about innovation when it comes to choosing the right words.

Interesting that you mention that it is more than just the links and advertising. I am glad to see that someone is realizing that the content of a site whether a blog or not is very important to the money factor. I cannot imagine someone making money without having a reason (good content, which changes) to come back again and again. This is one factor that is often overlooked.

I think that the best thing you can do when starting out is to build up your readers. You can do this by writing frequently on your blog. Let’s say that you write 6 times a week then you must be able to sustain this kind of writing by researching topics that you may want to write on, on a daily basis. This is the best way to get readers. Once you do get lots of readers then is the time to make some money out of them.

It is important to have a keyword rich blog. I’m surprised that you didn’t mention how powerful a blog can be in affiliate marketing. You could purchase the product and then write reviews about the product. That would be a lot more meaningful than just sticking the link or banner up there on your blog.

It’s a great article there. But I think it’s really about how you enjoy blogging. Most people tend to put too much pressure on themselves on monetizing so they fail. Keyword density is also another thing important but be careful on using too much keywords.

Postman: I agree. That is a very good suggestion to build up your readers before you expect to earn money from blogging. Most advertisers are looking for a certain amount of readers and a steady audience to make sure that they are getting the most for their money. Great comment.

Hmm… I can totally understand this article. I try to search things and sometimes, you are so overwhelmed with stuff you can’t get to it all, and some things dont’ bring up much of anything at all. So that makes so much sense. I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks.

Sometimes its hard to find the best keyword for your site, so I can recommend to buy a keyword for several days, and then you can wait and see whats gonna happen. Still, having adsense for a brand new site might not be effective. The type of promotion can work out if we already have a steady traffic from the targeted visitor.

  12. attagirl Says:

I have to agree that you have to enjoy it in order to be able to make it worth your while. I know that the same thing occurs when you are talking about maintaining a web site. You have to be interested in what you are doing and understand why you are making it the way you are.

Very good content here. Full of useful information. I personally don’t have a blog but my friends and family are wanting me to start one since I have a child with special needs so that I can easily update that and I don’t have to explain it to each one of them. Thanks for posting this. Very useful to me! :)

Another informative, and well written article. There are so many bloggers out there who are trying to make money, who seem to want something for nothing. They think that just because they blog, the money should just come rolling in.
Readers of a blog will know if the writer enjoys writing or not, and are more likely to read a blog that is written by someone who enjoys blogging.

The magic is definitely in the long tail keywords and once you discover the potential, you can make tons of profit if you are ready to dig deeper.I started turning a profit with adwords only after learning about the potential of long tail keywords .Now most of my campaigns are based on them.I don’t think they will go out of fashion because the traditional way to search in search engines is to enter queries and that’s also the most focused traffic.
