The are many benefits of articles in affiliate marketing. Writing articles is a great way to bring traffic to your site especially if you are running an affiliate marketing business. You want people to know about your product and everything it has to offer. Articles are perfect for this and can take marketing to the next level.
Types of Articles:
any different articles you write will attract people to the product you hope to sell. You can write persuasive articles that will make someone think, “WOW, I really need that product!” or you can write articles that discuss the product but are search engine optimized.
Search engine optimized or SEO articles are ones that have specific keywords throughout the article. Search engines like Yahoo! and Google pick up these keywords. When someone enters in a keyword that you have used in your article, your site will show up on the search results. This means, that they are much more likely to visit your site.
Ways to Use Articles:
SEO articles attract people to your site through the search engines. However, there are many other ways that you can use articles to drive more unique visits to your site.
Article directories are places where you can submit your articles and they are free for everyone to see and use. This means that the more people who use your articles, the more places you will have exposure. You have a bio at the end of the piece with your website address. Websites that will use your article are usually places where your niche is popular which means people will be interested in what you have to offer.
Another purpose of article directories is additional back links. Back links is another thing that search engines look for when ranking your page in search results. The more you have the higher you place which means more people visit your site.
Creating a blog is another way to use what you have written. Search engines pick up blogs much faster and many people search for information on blogs. This is just another way to gain exposure and market your product through another type of site.
Writing it yourself or Hire Someone:
If you have the time and you can write decently well, then you can write all of them on your own. However, many people have a hard time getting their ideas onto the screen in a clear and persuasive manner. This is when it is time to hire a professional writer.
Freelance writing services are popular and can help you get what you need quickly. These professional freelance writers are experienced in providing well-written articles for website content. Many of them are familiar with SEO and submitting to article directories. Hiring someone to do the writing for you can help you save time and get your website to the point you want it to be so you can start making money.

Writing on controversial articles gets traffic over there like mad, especially if some person makes a big song and dance about you invoking the first amendment.
Learned that when I completely owned some loony who was saying that D&D was Satanic on my old D&D forum. I decimated his argument until the only thing he had left was the fact that you could become a God if you wanted, which is nigh-impossible if you play by the book.
Got 879 guests on my forum, none of them signed up though ;_;

As for hiring freelance writers, how do you recommend going about that? What sites are a good resource?

Freelance writers are definitely a great resource. They can create well-written articles that may cost some money, but spare you the time to focus elsewhere and you can get a substantial amount of traffic.
@Jherek, I’m sure there are plenty of sites you can contract through, but word of mouth might be the best way. Ask some of your fellow blog owners.

This article has covered all the important facts about article marketing. I believe that article marketing is one of the best ways to drive traffic and gain some back links to your site for free. I’m going to try this method on my affiliate business. I’m going to get my own domain then research as much for the said articles. They do provide some articles about the product but they said to change it a little bit so that search engines would not penalized them.

@ Jherek You can get freelance writers at a number of sites. they’d charge different rates depending on the quality of the articles and topics you assign them. Elance is a great site to get some quality work done in a very short time frame. It involves a process of bidding on your project and you get to pick the writer after going through their experience, profiles and bid amounts. You can also try associated content but there are several forums where you can find good ghost writers who charge much less than these sites.

Having to write on topics that no one else will write on seems to be the way to really make it work. How would one go about doing this and making the money in this manner. If someone would be kind enough to help explain where I can understand this would be great. I would like to do article through affiliates.

Attagirl, it wouldn’t be very hard to find topics that generate interest but don’t attract an overwhelming amount of competition. There are actually several ways you can find such niches and pick your interests from among them. If you want to write just for gaining viewer interest then the process is much simple. You can skim through the lenses on Squidoo or turn to google trends website to learn what topics are gaining momentum. While on Squidoo, you can also check out what products are showing up from ebay, amazon etc for those lenses. If you want to dig further then you can even use the free google keyword tool to find the search volume and keyword competition for the specific keywords you want to write on.

Thank you so much for the response VT. I am know that there is some topics that do not have much competition but there are others that have a ton but really do not offer the right information in those article or they are very poorly written. I again appreciate the places to check out and to be able to get the information that I really need.
